Medigap Plan G

For those who are looking for a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan that provides a wide range of coverage, they may look to the most comprehensive plan, which is Medigap Plan F. However, Plan F is only available to individuals who were eligible for Medicare before January 1, 2020. If you are not eligible for Plan F but would still like to have a Medigap plan with comprehensive coverage, then Medigap Plan G is something to highly consider!

What Does Plan G Cover?

Plan G is the second most comprehensive plan available and is a great substitute for those who don’t qualify for Plan F. Plan G covers all benefits with 100% coverage:

Medicare Part A coinsurance and hospital costs
Medicare Part A hospice care coinsurance and copayment
Medicare Part A deductible
Medicare Part B coinsurance and hospital costs
Medicare Part B excess charges
First three pints of blood for transfusions
Skilled nursing care facility coinsurance

Plan G will also cover up to 80% of foreign travel emergency care.

What Does Plan G Not Cover?

While Plan G will cover most of what Plan F will cover, Plan G will not cover the Part B deductible.
