Premium
Most people don’t have to pay a monthly premium for Part A if they paid Medicare taxes for 10 years (40 quarters).
If you paid Medicare taxes for fewer than 30 quarters, your Part A monthly premium will be $505.
If you paid Medicare taxes for 30–39 quarters, your Part A monthly premium will be $278.

Inpatient Deductible
and Coinsurance
You will pay:
- $1,736 deductible for each benefit period
- $0 coinsurance for days 1–60 per benefit period
- $434 daily coinsurance for days 61–90
- $868 per day after 90 days per benefit period (60 lifetime reserve days)
Medicare Part B
Premium
The standard Part B monthly premium is $202.90
The premium may be higher, depending on your income.
Medicare Part B
Deductible and

Part B yearly deductible is $283
After meeting the deductible, you will pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for approved services you receive.
You may also pay a 15% excess charge at some providers.
Part C plans bundle Part A, Part B, and usually Part D.

Part D monthly premiums vary by plan.
The average monthly premium is $55.50.
Part D plans can have a maximum deductible of $545.
Some plans have no deductible.
